Rabbit Hunting Fun in the Horn Swamp!

It has become an annual tradition for the Horn Swamp to host a rabbit hunt each February.  This group of folks would not let anything come in the way of their attendance.

February is a quiet month in the woods here in south Alabama. Deer season ends on the last day of January and turkey season doesn't begin until March 20th. Many hunters abandon the great outdoors completely. Not us!

We start at daybreak and hunt 'til lunch. Then a feast is cooked up back at the Horn Swamp Lodge. The afternoon is spent crow hunting, pitching horseshoes, and reminiscing the past season's hunts.

Then around dark a big campfire is built and there are more stories swapped until deep into the night. No one ever likes to call an end to a fun day like this!
